Small Mountain Town – Qingjing, Nantou County (Ren’ai Township)
Qingjing Farm is located in Datong Village, Ren’ai Township, Nantou County. Spanning over an area of 760 hectares, the Farm is situated at an altitude of 1,748m, amidst the mountains with a wide and vast view. With different seasons of the year, produces such as peaches, 20th Century pears, California plums, kiwi, mountain vegetables would be found at the Farm. Accompanied by flocks of sheep on the meadow and staying over at exquisite boutique hotels, visitors here would experience a European ambiance that is rare to be found in Taiwan. Hehuan Mountain that are further up above Qingjing settlement offers diverse tourism resources. In addition to the Lapland rosebay and snow seasons that always attract myriads of tourists every year, Hehuan Mountain is even more so one of the most popular mountains among 100 Peaks of Taiwan as loved by the hikers. The County government has also been continuously counseling local industries to launch starwatching tours and special merchandise, in the hope that Qingjing will become Taiwan’s one and only “Small Starry Sky Town”.
